Hounslow Manor among the most improved school in London and nationally.

Hounslow Manor is the number 10 most improved school in London, after achieving its best ever GCSE results in 2009 and is the number 21 most improved school regarding GCSE results over the past 4 years, out of over 4,000 schools in the country.

Figures released from the Department for Children, Schools and Families reveals that Hounslow Manor’s results are way above the national average and that its results are improving at a faster rate than nationally.

At Hounslow Manor, 42% of students gained five or more good grades at GCSE, including English and Maths, a 12% increase on the previous year and an improvement of 61% over 2 years.

The percentage of students in London gaining five or more good grades at GCSE, including English and Maths has increased by 4% in the last year, but at Hounslow manor we have improved by 12%.

Headteacher Ms Anjali Sakhardande, said:
“I am absolutely delighted that all the efforts, determination and hard work of the whole school community working together – students, staff, support from parents and governors - is paying off.
Our students have achieved fantastic results. It is the best the school has ever done, with an amazing increase over the past two years. I am extremely proud of all their achievements.

Some of our students have had to overcome very difficult and challenging situations in their lives, and their results will provide many of them with greater opportunities for success in the future.
